Sweet! Good for you. I wish there were more dealerships out there that would be just as kind to other Si owners. I'm sure you'll enjoy the fix as mush as I am.

I took mine in, they test drove it. Replicated the problem. And now I am waiting for all the parts to come in so they can fix it.

Got it back yesterday. Popped out of third gear as I was leaving the dealership, and today (a day later), I notice next to no difference in notchiness and hesitance to engage.

I took mine in on April 25th to get a few things done to my 07 si sedan. Told them about the 3rd gear problem that I've been experiencing. They said they couldn't replicate it.
Gonna take it back in Monday the 28th if I've got some time. I'm gonna have the TSB in hand (b@#$h slap them with it!! as someone put it earlier) and allow them to keep it overnight. I've been nice to them thus far, but I may have to start being more stern with them. I'll keep updating until the problem is fixed, cause I'm not quiting until it's resolved.

dude dont trade it in, did u ask them to see the old one and if it happened again tell them u want a diffrent si, or go to a diffrent dealership. dont leave the si family, all because of some @$$hole who got lazy in the transmision engineering department.

Thanks for the kind words, bud. I really do appreciate it.

Unfrotunately, my car has been nothing but problems. It might be time for something that's build better. I may just have a lemon, but this was the last thing I could handle.

Sadly, I have no idea what to replace it with.

Man that sucks bro. I'm sorry you've had such bad issues with your car. I was hoping things would've turned out differently for your car. Any chance on getting a newer Si? Or like someone else recommended, a used S2000? I'd hate to see you totally give up on your Si project.

If I were making a full-time income, I'd probably invest in a newer Si, but I can't afford to get burned again.

In any case, I don't want to turn this thread into another "woe is me" thread, but thanks for the concern guys!

'bout time Honda finally f***in' fessed up to this...

however, as always, at the mercy of the dealership to actually fix what they say they will... i don't know how many times i've taken my various Hondas in for service and came out w/ the nothing fixed...

It's been 8 days now since I had the rebuild. I drove to NYC yesterday, which is about a 200 mile round trip, with about 2/3 being highway driving.

The gearbox has been performing flawlessly so far.

I am still planning on switching out the MTF to Amsoil.
