I'm guessing they'll drop my transmisson to do this work, Do you guys think there's any chance Honda would put in for a new clutch if there is a sign of wear that could be attrubuted to this 3rd gear issue? I think my clutch has suffered as a result of this isssue. when it doesn't go in to 3rd my rpm's drop and when it finally goes i think in "burns" the clutch a bit. If they think it should be replaced I'll have them do it. That way I shouldn't have to pay for the labor on a clutch replacement, it would just be the parts hopefully. Let me know what your thoughts are.

omg im so happy to know there is at least something documented from honda about it! last time i brought it to their attention i got so irritated with the dealership basically trying to say i was hallucinating the whole time, so i called Honda of America and they said it was because "3rd gear is the farthest gear away".... wtf.... maybe im just ignorant to what that is supposed to mean.... but still... wtf.... omg i'm gonna print this out and bring it to the dealership and be like "HAHA fix this shit bitches!!!" omg... dude, you just like made my day! thanks for posting this!!!!

Now don't get too excited! I used my cell phone and I'm not so great with posting pictures so this is my half assed attempt.
Image - TinyPic - Share the Experience!™3 I can take more if anyone cant read it. This pic has the date, which leads me to believe Honda had this up a while ago. http://i25.tinypic.com/ojimpt.jpg Again, I will take better pics when I get my damn camera. Ok guys, the top of my invoice reads as follows.
A c/s states that the vehicle is hard to shift into 3rd gear; and has popped out of 3rd gear while driving-SEE ATTACHED BULLETINS As you can see on the second picture I took, the invoice is dated the 25th of March. So my question is, how long have the dealerships had this info? |

just a quick question. on the tsb, it does say that all 2006 and 2007 models are affected. but what if i dont experience any grinds whatsoever? i have an 07 Si with 17k miles on it. on the tsb, it does say just because ur car is listed as affected, "don't assume ur car is affected."

![]() My 08 falls within the VIN range too. With 5k miles no problems. I do go easy on third though, just to be sure. I can't wait to see how the fix works out for you guys with problems. |
