Pacific Honda said they needed to test my car first, (this is already after verifying the TSB in person with them). After it failed replication/duplication of issue, they were just nice enough to believe me and fix it anyways.

Fuller Honda said almost the same thing, that I'd have to bring it in to get tested first. Since Pacific already said they were gonna fix it, I stopped pursuing Fuller Honda for help, even though that was the original dealership I bought my Si from. It's just a farther drive for me than Pacific is.

I think some dealerships are just nicer than others in regards to helping us, since some people here got phone calls, or no duplication haggles when attempting to use this TSB. Case by case with certain dealerships I suppose.

Wow that's good for you! I'm glad you got yours back in a day. I wish mine was the same story. Yeah, Pacific said it's the first one they are doing. I just hope it gets done properly, and that they pay attention to the TSB when it states to use the new MTF.

well my tech used to have an 06 ASM w/navi got his a few months b4 i got mine... so he already knows how to tear these cars apart and put back together in no time... he's literally the fastest tech there for Si's/S2k/Accords...

i'm pretty sure they will put new fluid in...

Am I to understand this TSB only applies to ~2,000 2008 Si coupes?

2008 Civic Si 2-Door:
From VIN 2HGFG215.8H700001
thru 2HGFG215.8H701973

00001 - 01973 = 1,973 '08 Si coupes... correct?

Forgive me for not reading thru all 4K pages.

dropped my SI off last night so it would be cold for the drive today.
I went with the tech - couldn't re-create. He said he would take it for a drive later today and try to recreate the issue.
They said they will replace the mtf again. Band aid solution, but at least he remembered driving with me 10k miles ago when it did pop out...

I dropped off my 06 SI with the TSB in hand and , went to work and received the call that they where going to warranty my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, gear/synchronizers/ basically replace every gear I said that grinds which tallied up to $2200. Also, that I need to change the clutch because it wasn’t engaging all the way and contributed to the problem. As we all know the clutch is wear n tear so no warranty $800 and some change for everything including rental and the car will be done in two days…. Any comments????

Hmmmm, but if your car wasn't in for the TSB, would have needed to replace the clutch? I would only pay for the clutch, not the labor.

thats the thing, before when i complained about the grinding, they said nothing was wrong, let it get worst and that my clutch was fine. Now that i returned with the TSB they found what was wrong(cuz i showed them the TSB lol ) and say my clutch is bad too. Idk a little fishy

^ they do wahtever they can to save THEMSELVES MONEY and thats the crap that pisses me off, i don't think they care about customer service any more, WHATEVER HAPPEND TO, CUSTOMERS ALWAYS RIGHT?

i also dropped my car off again today too, these are my 4 issues i told them about

-3rd gear being notchy and grinding
-1st gear, when i pull it out it feels like it's being forced out (spat out) anyone else get this?
-when pressing clutch, near the end, it creates this clicking noise
-from the front, when turning steering wheel, there is a squeek noise
(i didnt print out the TSB, but said, there should be a service bulletin out for it) i'll print one out before i go back and if they say there isn't, i'll pull it out and bitch slap them with it =X lol)

ok, here's a great question,

you bring it in, they dont say they can recreate problem, or they say they can't recreate the problem, but fix it anyways due to TSB, does that make them guilty about knowing about the problem? (applying TSB as RECAL, but not calling it RECALL)

theres a lot of politics that plays into this BS................
