What's frustrating is that a TSB with a likely chance of success has finally been issued and that's still not enough. Working the new process to see what happens before continuing the gripefest is reasonable. Acting like you're the only person ever inconvenienced by having your car serviced is not.

I know for a fact that my 3rd grinds and has popped out, although it has happened rarely. I've been very fair in my grips/updates, you can check my post history if you dont believe me... What worries me is that if I take off of a day of work and they call me back and say they can't replicate it, Imma be pissed. Thats time lost and money lost on an issue that I Know exists. If they simply could provide me with a loaner so that I can go to work, it'd be a lot easier to deal with having to take it in multiple times if they cannot replicate it on the 1st go round... I'd love to drive a hybrid civic because I'd be interested in buying one someday. They'd satisfy me as a customer, potentially earn some more of my hard earned cash and make good on bad situation (transmission). I called the dealer i purchased the car from and the lady who sold me the car is trying her best to take care of me. My initial reaction was from another dealer near my job that acted like they didn't give a d*mn. |

don't know if this has been answered but what if you have aftermarket parts on the car? should you remove them before bringing them into the dealer? like exhaust, intake, etc things away from the tranny

I didn't remove anything other than my short shifter. I have cable and base bushings though. The bottom line is that the problem in this case is not caused by anything other than the transmission itself. I just removed my short shifter because I didn't want any hassles, not because I thought the short shifter was causing the problem.

i just got off the phone with HOA and they made me a case and gave me a case number and all that jazz and i told them that i had a good experience with the dealership and she told me to go back to the dealership and talk to the service manager and see if i can get him to just go ahead and replace the syncros under warenty without being able to replicate . . . the crappy part is the TSB even says that its intermittant and i told the lady at HOA there is no way for me to get the car to the dealer so they can replicate because i dont know when its going to happen and that its really random and speratic SO how can i replicate it? . . . anyways i called the dealer back to talk to the service manager but he was busy so i left the number and he is supposedly going to call me back shortly
