i have an 07 si coupe.... 3rd gear is not a problem for me but the 2nd is killing me also.. shifting is not smooth.... feel the grinding sometimes.....

when is SOON?? don't wanna go back to the dealership back and forth since i barely have the 3rd gear grind but mostly on 2nd gear

So nobody is worried about taking their car in with having the reflash on their ecu??? I'm nervous as hell!!!! Has anybody had their's worked on with the reflash done to their ecu?

If you dont have the Hondata sticker on your ecu you should be fine. I am pretty sure that it has nothing to do with your ECU.

ahhhhh 2 of the parts aren't in yet and I don't have use of 3rd gear =(. he said by 12 today but I'm sure my car won't be done in 5 hrs as service is only open till 5. looks like ill have a element loaner car

okay so tell me why i bring my fa5 to honda of serramonte to get my third gear checkd not fixed but checkd. and after i told the guy about the the tsb thread and the official honda bulletin. the guy says " that bulletin is BULL****" and then he says let the mechanics decide that. im like wtf man. i need my shit working proper not some half as garbage. any help?

Took it to the dealer here in Bloomington IN, same "couldn't replicate the problem" shit. They told me to "bring it in if it's acting up" and that they can't order the parts unless they can dublicate it. It kind of sucks that it just randomly happens and is not simply a constant. Is it better to have the service person ride with you on a cold morning?

I just dropped mine off this morning at First Team Honda in chesapeake VA. I have a bad feeling already though because the service advisor said my vin was not affected, even though the tsb said all 2007 4 door si. She said they would take a "look" at it though under warrenty. Then while i was waiting for my ride I heard the mechanic come out and say that he couldnt duplicate the problem. I then told them to keep the car until it does it then. So now im waiting on a phone call......

I hear rumors like this all the time. I hope you're right cause the 2nd gear grind bothers me just as much as the 3rd gear.
