So you had the work done according to the TSB or did they just throw the same old parts at it? The TSB came out 4-12-08 and I'm guessing they have new specs for the new parts.

Honda pulled their head out of ther a$$ finally. Obviously if there are only a few 08 vin #'s that are affected then they changed something. It will still be interestiing to see if the 3rd gear problems are eliminated after all this. I'm glad they released the TSB but I'll believe it when I drive it!

I taked to a very good friend of mine (20+yr Honda Tech) Told him about the 2nd gear grind. He said, dont worry about it now Honda is redoing the whole 6-spd syncro set in the Si, and accord and the update should be out soon.. This is totally different then the 3rd gear problem. He knows about the TSB 3rd gear.

So to sum it up, Honda has a new 6-spd Syncro set coming out later not just the 3rd gear sycro, but the whole shebang...

Damn. Finally! We no longer have to look stupid at the dealership...

I took my car in on monday because my VSA & ABS light was going off, they didnt mind that i had mods. With this TSB in hand, the dealership is no longer going to act stupid not knowing what we are talking about.

Making an appointment for this week or the next!!!!

Great. Now I get to have my transmission ripped apart not once, but twice!

Glad that they've got their **** together, but seriously? It would seem like a better idea financially to release it all at once, no?

So....unless you installed a flux capacitor and took your Si 88 miles per hour w/ 1.21 Jigawatts of power into the future and had it done, I don't think you had it done a year ago.
And besides, even if you had taken your Si into the future, HOA would've denied warranty work due to excessive mods. i.e. flux capacitor, etc.

LawL I actually work for Honda (Honda technician) I had all bearings 2-3rd gear synchros sleeves the works all warrantied and changed no questions asked ,pays off knowing every1 at Honda so please dont try being an asswhole I started expiercing problems at 3k I have so many aftermarket parts and Honda dont mind :-) il sell u my flux campacitor if u want
