Woot, I go in Wed to the dealership. (Just scheduled it). Wish me luck. I could use the fix as I have ground my gears a few times in the past. (Now it's just notchy as hell)

i'm going to Classic Honda in the GTA (Toronto area) for the TSB on Friday. They are aware of it due to other customers e-mailing the TSB.

I got a call from my Honda dealer. The appointment to repair the transmission is for this Thursday (April 14). Kind of nice, I didn't even have to bother calling them.
Fantastic. Walser Honda ordered the parts for me (without asking) a few days ago, and they'll be in later this week. My service manager was on top of it.

She also said that they've had a LOT of people calling in on this. Honda's going to eat this, mark my words.

And she said that now that a bulletin is out, if the customer's concerns can't be replicated, as the bulletin says it is intermittent, they will probably do it either way. How nice!

About 3:00pm-ish, Pat from Pacific Honda called me back. She spoke with Bill, the Service Department manager and he said they are gonna get their top mechanic/repair technician Nick Ruiz to try and duplicate the problem. I am sending my car in today, and they will begin testing tomorrow at 7:00am, and continue through out the portions of the day to try an replicate it, rather than doing a single 15 min run. At least they sound like they wanna try and replicate it now. Of course with my bad luck, they will probably not have it be able to replicate and they will throw that TSB in my face. Oh, my ABS recall is getting done as well. =)

Wish me luck my friends!

Which dealer did you call? I don't like Hardin of Anaheim and would much rather go elsewhere that'll make the repairs quicker with more reliable service. Hardin's fudge up on too many warranty 'fixes' for me.

Anybody happen to know of any great dealerships in the SoCal area?

I even get a vehicle while mine is getting worked on. They have a S2K I'm going to try to get, like that'll happen. worth a shot though!
I also had my appointment with the dealership here today. They pulled the same BS of that they will have to replicate the problem. They caleld me back and said they ordered the parts but the parts are on backorder for me as well.

Note to those who have gotten the MTF replaced under warranty: Even though they replicated it once to replace the MTF does not mean they will go ahead and order parts. You will have to bitch at them til they do it. So there is still a little bit of a fight left.

Do we get an alignment after the service?

This is located on the 2 page of the PDF...

"M Add for alignment 0.6"

That would be great as my HFP suspension sit is being installed at the same time...

Yeah, it sounds like they're ready to help you out. That is what my dealership did (after double digit visits for the same problem).

If it is cool there in the mornings, I would recommend bringing it in the night before, letting it sit overnight, and asking them to do it right as the car starts in the morning. You'll be almost guaranteed a successful replication.

Just got off the phone with my dealership and there doing it for me TOMORROW! The guy gave me ZERO resistance and told me they were doing one as we speak. Note that I had already taken it in for this problem in which they changed my fluid. No replication and no fuss...Roseville Honda FTW!

Try Sierra Honda in Monrovia. I took my fiance's accord there many times and they have top-notch service!

Taking mine in tomorow, let you guys know how it goes. I don't have my hopes up too high as last time they "couldn't duplicate" it.
