Turn signal is too loud!!!!

Does anyone know how to reduce the sound coming out of the turn signal??? almost everyone complains about it because it's so loud. It's not a big deal but if it's simply to do, i would like to soften it up a bit. Thanks

I've had my Si for 2 weeks and thought the same thing from day 1. Man that thing is loud. Perhaps if I can pinpoint where the relay is located, I can smother in duct tape or something. It must be in a hollow area under the dash and thus carry sound better. My guess anyway.

Ha, if you think that's loud you should try a Focus. That thing is loud! It sounds like the cap of a snapple bottle when you push the "button" LOL.

My Mazda 3 had a strange sounding turn signal. That was nothing though compared to the wimpy ass horn on that car. I swear I was embarassed to use it. I actually allowed people to cut me off a few times without laying on the horn. Now that I have my Si, though, I don't have to worry about laying on the horn...After I get cut off, I can let them get 10-15 car lengths ahead and hunt them down like the worthless dogs they are!!!wneddanc

Kidding, of course...kinda.

yes, the horn is another disappointing factor, i'm peronally embarrased to use it and try not to use. so i guess there's no way of softening the sound?

Yes, there is a volume control knob under the dash right next to the switches that turn off that annoying seat belt beep, the DRL's, the ABS, and those pesky airbags.

I thought they were slightly loud when I test drove it as well. I was hoping for more quiet blinkers, considering my Firebird and Grand Am's blinkers could wake the dead.

my opinion is don't use it or just crank up the radio
I rarely use the turn signal so that doesn't bother me.

Gezzzzz, use your blinker as your horn, and horn as your blinker....works for me!

Isn't it the case that the relay/blinker control is a common part that you can buy from Pep Boys? Back in my HS days there were generic replacements for turn signal tickers in stock - maybe one of these would work?

My horn is now quiet when I arm my alarm. Woot! Thank God for my Clifford 3.5 RSX made that softer. I don't really notice the turn signal though 'cuz of the K20Z3 sounds amazing and my radio.
