k24 swap

Since my k20 blew up and i dont know if honda is going to cover it, what would i need to do a k24 swap in my 07 FA5?

GL man...hope HONDA covers your motor though....I just don't see why they wouldnt.

i dont know about pa but i know here in nc we now have emissions laws that says you have to put the oem motor back in it. . .you may wanna check and see if it would pass

i would start with buying a k24 that should help, i also think you need to use one of the MM's from the other car.

You just spun a bearing off the crankshaft so the head you got should be fine, permitted some major catastrophe didn't happen when it initially "blew." You would just need the k24a2 block off 04-06 tsx or a newer crv (forgot which years). The motor mounts should be the same. I'm not an expert in this subject but jnaut is. Look up his thread and you'll get a good idea of all what is involved. This project would not be for an aspiring mechanic, rather someone who knows what he/she is doing with adequate tools or a lot of time to put in to learn.

update on my k24build / swap w/ pics

This type of project has been done for alot of different series of hondas, so just look around the web and readreadread if you are really serious about this project.

Just my 2 cents.
