Well it looks on correctly. I know you said you checked all vacuum lines, but check again. If you think it's all good, take certain lines off and put them back on again, making them snug. After you're 100% sure (only after checking, not just looking) then start your Si and see what's up. Normally, the idle wanders like that when there's a 'leak' in the intake at some point. Check as far down the piping as possible, make sure there's no hole/opening in it.

if u still can't find the leak... go to ur local auto parts store and buy some brake cleaner... with your engine running spray the brake cleaner on all the gaskets/bolts/hoses/etc... basically anywhere u think the air might seep through... if it has a leak the engine will drop idle for a sec...

I'll do that. but is it also possible to have that kind of behavior if i broke my sensors?

Noobie question though, is it 100% safe if the brake cleaner gets in to my combustion chamber?

it's safe... it will shut the engine down if u spray too much... but it won't damage anything... w.e is not burned up will evaporate...

that's the easiest way to find an intake leak...

If your sensors are broken you should be throwing a CEL.

are you sure that the whole under the spacer was pluged? If you left it open, it could still be drawing in unmettered air inside the intake manifold causing the " rev hang "

Yes but you would get a Check Engine Light for that.

I just looked at my engine bay, did you forget to install the Nitrous plug that is opposite of the P2R logo (it is on the driver-facing side of the spacer) or maybe it fell out?

Edit: Just saw Gonzo and WhoCares said the same thing. Didn't read the above posts.

No the hole for the Nitrous..

On the side of the Spacer facing your engine, theres a hole thats threaded which should have came w/ a plug.

Did you put that in?!?!

You're still getting the rev hang?

Maybe try taking it apart and putting it back together?

I removed my TBS and just left one gasket in since the stock papery one is long since gone. It was hard to tell if it was different because I also swapped rear swaybars so I was kinda bombarded by different feelings in the car.

Throttle reponse could have possibly been a tad better but really hard to tell.

Sound has changed, dunno what that is due to. There is pretty evident hiss at mid throttle, sub 4k.

One thing that does have me concerned is the hole on the gasket does not line up with the port on the manifold that well. If I align it at the top it extends past the bottom by a noticeable margin. Makes me wonder about turbulence. Thought I'd mostly be concerned about the same effect on the manifold gasket since it is soo close to the intake ports and injectors.

^ IIRC, turbulence helps to a certain extent for fuel efficiency and not performance (turbonator sh!t) but yea you're right the gasket seemed to not line up when I installed mine, but I gave it a little fiddling and it sat perfect.

OP, See the hole on the black spacer facing down in the middle on the flat part? There should be a plug that came with that. Check that the plug is in there now, incase it fell out.

Yeah, mine cannot be aligned, the shape and size of the gasket is off. I may have to order a new one.

As far as turbulence helping fuel efficiency, I cannot believe that would be the case here. From the TB on it is smooth sailing.

I don't know how I feel about the manifold gasket if it is off. I really don't want to tear the front end apart again, but if there is a discrepancy in fit then it might be for the best.

I don't know what P2R's stance on this would be.
