Wiper intermittent

HI folks, i recently bought a 2008 civic dx-G here in canada. What i am wondering is, can i just take a 2007 civic SI stalk and put it in mine??

I tried searching on the forum but found nothing useful.

Help!?

Intermittent Wiper Stalk for EX?

Anyone who done it and it worked? Or anyone got the wiring diagram?

The variable intermittent feature is dependent on road speed. It's not as simple as just swapping the stalk. As far as I know, no one has made it work yet.

on my 07 EX sedan, when in the lowest setting, when you go from a stop and reach 9 MPH I believe, it will wipe on its own! It will also wipe faster as you speed up........

There is a reason other than than just a sunroof that a EX cost about $1700 more than a LX

wiper goes after you let off the brakes to clear the window before you start moving is the idea.

okay that what i thought, that why i asked for a wiring diagram to see if there is a module on the wiring that control the wipers.

Hi role model. I'm glad to know that there's someone else who's interested in upgrading his Civic's fixed intermittent delay setting to a variable one.

I had already gone to the extent of buying a new wiper stalk with the dial for the variable intermittent setting and had it installed by my friendly neighborhood auto electrician but... IT DIDN'T WORK.

Thus, we really need to get hold of a wiring diagram showing the connections from the wiper stalk all the way to the wiper motor.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one that is trying to do this. I have a 2008 Civic LX that is a company car and has a fixed intermittent wiper. After owning several Toyota's that are pre-wired for intermittent wipers (just a matter of switching out the switch), I was pissed when I found out yesterday that mt ordering of a switch from an EX was worthless. I tore apart both the switches today and noted that it looks like the EX requires an extra wire on the harness that connects to the switch.

Then I looked at the connector going into the wiper motor. You can see it by taking off the passenger side cap to access the strut tower and peeking in there...there's only three wires going to it, and they are 12 or 10 gauge.

So with that said, I believe that if you can connect the wire to the extra active connector on the back of the intermittent switch to the fuse box/control unit thing, then the intermittent feature will work. I did test and made sure that the intermittent switch does work just like any other adjustable intermittent feature...works by varying the resistance...
