never heard of a blown head. probably just warped. they'll have to replace, because if they mill it, you're compression ratio will go up.

Blow this.

Any reason why you were low on coolant?

I had this problem back in October with my 02 Sentra GXE. Instead of getting it fixed and putting a new engine in it, I traded it in and bought the SI.

what mods are done to the car?
intake or IMG? both those require disconnecting coolant lines and you might have let too much leak out.

Why were you low low on coolant? Did you just drive it around knowing that you were low on coolant? Your head could be warped if it got REALLY hot, but I doubt there's any damage if it just got hot once.

Don't you guys...I dunno...CHECK this stuff?

Takes all of 5 seconds to check your coolant level. Should always check that stuff regularily.

I mean more often than a month.

I check my tire pressure, coolant level and oil level at least once a week.

if you drained the coolant then refilled it, u have to bleed the coolant system, if you dont bleed it, u could have a air pocket somewhere in the head where the coolant runs which will cause like a hot spot and warp the head. i dont think u have a blown head gasket, car is too new for that shit. and the only other way u can warp it is if you run it extreamly low on coolant or if your coolant fan isnt working. personally i dont trust dealerships with mech stuff, i do all my own work to be sure its done right. if they tell u that u need a new head and they want to fix it, take a marker and mark a spot on the head so when u get it back if the mark is gone, then they did what they said they were gonna do and if the mark is still there then u know they are bs. :) oh and they should only charge you for 5.3 hours of labor according to real time labor guide
