Problems with the neuspeed short shifter blue cap keeps poping off

i got this problem with the short shifter the blue cap keeps poping off the round base of the short shifter any ideas why is this happenig it mostly occurs when i hard shift from 1st to 2nd

Sounds like it's overly loose, maybe from when you pried it off of the original knob on the base?

If it keeps happening, maybe order one from TWMPerformance.
