List Everything you have to fix on your Civic !

1. My drivers side window shakes when it goes down.

2. My trunk lock is broken.

3. Front bumper needs to be replaced.

4. Change drivers side front turn signal.

5. Fix license plate screw laceration in rear bumper.

6. Fix damage on passenger side front bumper.

7. Drivers side door panel comes loose every few times i close the door.

8. Drivers side silver door handle is loose.

9. I need to replace dome light housings, several dashboard sections due to
the body shop nicking them.

10. I need to replace the cup holder slider due to paint over spray some how and my voice activation controls hoping paint thinner will work but its been a while due tot he body shop.

11. Driver side Seat squeaks constantly most likely a Honda recall.

12. Replace under carriage splash guard,Driver side wheel well splash guard,Passenger side wheel well splash guard -

Due to me taking the bumper off so many times and not putting all the clips back in becuase the car was so low LOL and i didn't have access to a lift. So the splash guards begin to drag and burn or rip off. My drivers side wheel well guard actaully ripped off on the highway and pushed my fender out half an inch so i need to to fix that.

13. There is a clunking noise coming from my rear or middle drivers side when ever i hit a small bump or uneven surface in the road and its really annoying i am hoping to find out what it is soon.

14. My driver side mirror is all scratched in the glass area up and i don't know how that needs to be replaced.

15. My hood has 2 deep scratches from snow turning to ice and sliding on it and some 1 backed in 2 my hood and scuffed it and left a small dent in it.

Yes my car has been through alot 37k in 1 year and 6 months almost totaled by a 18 wheeler -

I am so fed up with the car sometimes and just want to let it fall off a cliff without me in it of course LOL. But then i look at it and see how sexy it is and it brings a smile to my face every time i am near redline and i fall in love with it all over again. I hope to have the car rebuilt maybe 100% by the end of the summer its my pride and joy and i would love to have it back the way it use to be.

When it all began -

The Dealer !

A few hours later after HFP kit install !

I loved this trip going to Florida this was taken in North Carolina and the SI got me there in comfort and without a single Problem.

How it stands today !

Ive met so many amazing friends during the time ive owned this car and i wouldn't trade that for nothing, Ive been too alot of meets, and spent countless hours working on my, friends cars its like a big famliy and i am happy to be a part of it.

1. Replaced windshield cowl (peeling).
2. Replaced driver's side wiper arm (chipped down to bare metal).
3. My seats are wearing and discoloring.
4. My arm rests are discoloring to white and showing wear.
5. My driver's seat and center console squeak like an old rocking chair.
6. Re insulated sunroof due to rattle.
7. Insulated C pillar on driver's and passenger side due to squeaking.
8. Replaced steering wheel plastic trim (coming apart and creaking).
9. New Subwoofer installed OEM.
10. Rear deck insulated due to unfindable rattle.
11. MTF changed twice.
12. Third gear replicated due to popping out, grinding, and refusal to engage.
13. Front bumper touched up due to paint missing from factory.
14. Insulated driver's side seatbelt area do to rattles and squeaking.
15. "Fixed" front driver's side squeaking rattle near vent.
16. Door panels are flexing and creaking and not staying on well anymore.
17. Steering wheel "clicks" every time it makes a full rotation.
18. Wiper arm tightened as it almost fell off.
19. Plastic door trim near window switch and "coin holder" separating.
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'll look at my actual list that I compiled (sad that you need to make a list to know all that's wrong with your new car, hey?) and see what I missed.

You look at my car from the outside and you say "God damn what a beautiful machine". It truly is. Then you sit inside and listen and you're underwhelmed due to the rattle box, squeaking, and discoloring fabrics. It's awful.

I'd rep the OP if I could. Good thread. Now let's wait for the obligatory Hondaphile to come in and tell us we're all wrong or too picky.

I don't think expecting a fragment of solidness inside my 20,000 mile car is asking too much, to be honest. Just trying to make the car like it was before it started all its ****.

Believe it or not, the car used to be quiet as a mouse. Then it all snowballed from there and it's been an uphill battle ever since.

I'm not going to get into it with you again, as I figured there'd be naysayers in here, as there always are.

I just want the car that it used to be. I want the "Lexus" as you suggest, that I used to have in this car, not something where even my *** friends, who know nothing of cars, laugh because it's so noisy inside and their beat up trash cars are flawless.

You know it's a bad situation where your tech even suggests selling the car because of how dismayed he is with all the issues as well.

Ringpop, You said the haters would come.... and they did. We're just trying to list the problems with our civics, but no. We can't even do that. People like this with no useful input to the site should know that THEY ARE TOTAL CLOWNS!

I got 49k miles on my LX. Besides the 2 recalls, never went to the dealership for anything else.

But the rattles are getting annoying. I didn't mind the rattle in the rear-deck, as I can fix it. But new ones are popping out of nowhere. Under the steering column, front windshield/dash area, cup holder/center console area, driver-side window. What's next??

I was sitting in my friend's 4th Gen Si with 133k miles, and that thing is silent. Did not hear a peep out of the car's interior.

Ur the Clown!!! use sum muscles to get into 3rd gear OK ! instead of campaigning

Ringpop answered iT nicely....he did say the car used to be like lexus....Hel make u think twice.

Anyways @ Ringpop

The noise is due to crappy Michelins...Z rated tires don't last that long

The rattles.....well I highly suggest an R18 suspension...sell the Si suspension for it. Then fix the rattles...or else theyl keep on coming.

Discoloration....Hmm thats happening to me aswell...I think thats how they just wear.....like leather shoes.
