Angry My brakes don't work!!!!

Took off my calipers to get the powder coated. Went to put them back on and went through the whole process of bleeding and making sure the reservior did not run dry. Put all my wheels on and went to drive out of the shop and... I have no brakes. Pedal goes straight to the floor. You can pump it a couple of times and it will show some signs of braking but nowhere near what it needs to be. I even tried to bleed the master cyclinder. Is there something simple I am missing. I knew I should not have taken those brakes off to do this but I was being hard headed as usual.

I have been through three 32oz bottles. How much bleeding does it take.

There's an order to follow when you bleed ,like front driver's side first then rear passnger ,I'm not exactly sure about our civics but the order to bleed is important.

You start at the back right wheel, furthest from the master cylinder. Use the vacuum till fluid starts coming out, then close up the bleeding nut. Repeat.

, but when you see the brake fluid coming through the line you need to keep pumping it until you don't see anymore bubbles in the line.

Sounds like you managed to get air in the master cylinder. You'll have to have someone with a vacuum unit purge the entire system. Had a similar thing happen to my buddy's EP3 on a track day.

Might be time to hit up a professional.

Also, the bleed sequence is driver's front, and then proceed clockwise from there. Per Civic service manual.

I know this is a little off topic, but has anyone tried Speedbleeders? They're supposed to make bleeding brakes super easy.

I do.

They work as advertised. Much easier than finding someone who can follow instructions.

pass side rear.
driver side rear.
pass front.
driver side front.

to the op, can you see any trace of fluid anywhere in the brake system>?

Seriously, read page 19-10, volume 2 of the Civic factory service manual. Start with the front left and proceed clockwise.

You'd be right on most cars. Apparently the EBD has some fancy piping.

Bleed brakes, put correct amount of brake fluid in the res. Done.

Yes they are the top. The calipers were lableled left and right. I hope I was smart enough to read the label though

Honestly, I would invest in a vacuum pump. They aren't that expensive. you can even get hand pump models if you look hard enough. That with speed bleeders will save you MANY headaches if you do your own brake service.
