I think maybe asterisking the really common issues that we have been seeing like the 3rd gear issues, and that annoying "pop" when you hit a bump from the front wheels would enable people to access it easy, and print the sheet to bring it to Honda when they ask for help. I plan on bringing mine in this weekend for those issues, and I'm just hoping I don't get blown off.

Absolutely. When I get home, I'll update that. There are a lot of things to dig, through.

Thanks for the suggestions!

This is awesome and really helpful. Btw, the thread about TSBs doesn't actually have links to the TSBs, which is annoying. This thread is much more helpful since we can actually access the articles. Thanks again.

Glad you like it. I've got some major renovations planned for it so it is a lot easier to use. I know, as of now, they don't specify which one has Civic information on it, but I've been busy lately. I'll edit them and see what I can do to make it even better.

so i just dropped my car off at the dealer for the 3rd gear issue, figuring they'd at least swap the mtf based on the 01/07 service issue listed above, and he's telling me i have to pay for it ($85). does that sound right to you?

he said, and i quote, "there are no tsb's for your car, that is a service note for technicians...the only tsb's for your car are the rear wheel bearing and passenger occupany sensor"

...i thought there were more than just those 2 anyway? or am i just really misinformed?

Those are the two Safety Recalls for the Si; there are several other TSBs.

Print off the January 2007 Honda Service News Bulletin I posted. I believe it is on page 3. The MTF swap is required.

Did that :] ...but his reply was, "This is just a news update for the techs...there are no tsb's to perform on your car. If you'd like, we can change the fluid for $85."

!!! I almost shoved the printout down his throat.

**edit** it was $85, my mistake :]

Jesus. It took me the better part of the night/morning, but I updated the original post on the page to indicate all TSBs referring to the Honda Civic, past generation or current.

I have a few more tweaks that I'll be doing as I get some time, mainly to make it easier to find entries for the 8th Gen Civic (thinking of coding them in Blue).

Any thoughts, suggestions? It seems, according to my file manager, that these files are being downloaded A LOT. One of them had as many as 600 downloads. You guys should respond when you use them, just to make me feel like I didn't waste hours of my life compiling this.

Oh yeah, and March 2008 was added.

Mike, I appreciate what you've done so much, I'd let you drive my car so you could experience the glory of proper 3rd gear engagement.

Seriously, thanks again for digging these up and keeping them organized.

Keep bringing it in. Even if it annoys them, don't let them hang you by the balls.

Ball hanging aside, he's right. Keep track of your visits, including who you spoke with and who drove your car. Also, try to figure out what makes the problem worse so it's easier to replicate on demand.

Here is what I have come up with for all of the TSB’s for the 8th gen civics. I cannot grantee that this is all of them but it’s a good start. I started at in 05 and went to 08 as of last week sometime. There may be newer ones. I was able to create a program that would generate the urls for me then I was able to paste them into a downloading app. This is how I was able to get all TBS from 05 to 08, using the formula listed above.

Please let me know if there are any errors. I will be glad to edit the post.

While I appreciate that information wants to be free, having universal access to Honda's servers virtually guarantees they'll be taken down and reorganized, if not passworded. I don't have the time or desire to maintain a database like Special Ringpop has created, but that seems a much better way to keep public access flowing to the TSB library than having thousands of hits that no Honda admin could possibly miss.

Maybe I'm completely wrong about Honda not wanting TSBs freely distributed (and them footing the server and bandwidth bills), but I doubt it. ALLDATA and Helm certainly can't like it. BTW, here's a free way to see a list of recalls and TSBs, but you'll have to pay for access to the actual files...or google them.
