yes, you may use that or AMSoil. Those are probably the top 2 that have been known to "band-aid" the 3rd gear issue. Are you seeing tranny problems or is this just for a routine change?

this fixed my third gear issue, i couldnt be happier with it!

Tranny feels like butter now, much smoother, and it feels like a new tranny
you need two quarts to do the job, and its easy to do.

Sycromesh seams to be the option many manual trans owners use. ?? I even used it in my old VW Golf.

I heard somewhere that Pennzoil Synchromesh was similar, so if you can't find it the Pennzoil stuff may be easier to find.

FYI: Pennzoil and GM both make two different part numbers of Synchromesh. One is yellow metal safe and the other isn't.

Pennzoil is the cheaper option and can be found at most local part stores. Amsoil would be the more expensive and slightly better option.

I've been wondering the same thing...what mtf to use. I took it into the dealership, they replaced the mtf, and it's feeling ALMOST LIKE new again.

I'm trying to order some Amsoil MTF from their site. I created an account and hit the place an order link next to the product. But, it just takes me to a blank screen and won't let me order. could anyone let me know why I can't order this stuff?
