yes get the GM synchromesh friction modified. dont get the regular stuff.

they have to get the tranny fluid from there stock room. so just ask for the friction modified stuff. i should say so on the label.

this fixed my third gear issue, i couldnt be happier with it!
Tranny feels like butter now, much smoother, and it feels like a new tranny you need two quarts to do the job, and its easy to do. https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mtf.aspx

FYI: Pennzoil and GM both make two different part numbers of Synchromesh. One is yellow metal safe and the other isn't.
Pennzoil is the cheaper option and can be found at most local part stores. Amsoil would be the more expensive and slightly better option. |
