If your car is an SI you will need to order 5 quarts (0W30,signature series, https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/sso.aspx) but if it is an R18 4 qt. of 5W20 will do.
I just ordered Amsoil for my R18 and registered with them to get the discounted prices,it ended up costing me less than what I would have paid (for lets say Mobil one, other products) at the store.

Just dig around for any random Amsoil thread (this is 8thcivic, home to amsoil fanatics, and Oil Doc, it isn't that hard to find). But the 0w is a group IV oil, and provides nearly the exact same protection as 5w30.

Also from the 0w it lubricates a lot better when the engine is cold.

I was gonna use amsoil but due to having to order it (since the only dealer around here lives in the ghetto) I'll be using M1 EP

Call the dealership (it's not hard) and don't be such a jackass.

8 quarts for the engine
5 for the tranny
better throw a quart in the filter, don't want a dry startup...

My point was, even if people get OT, you don't have to be a jerk. Especially when you already had the answers you needed. What are you looking for, confirmation?

If your taking it to Honda to have it done, ask them how much you need to put in (obviously if you have to order the stuff, call them ahead of time and ask them). They will know the best answer over what some idiot on the internet says. Not saying you're an idiot Firestrife, just that people can say whatever they want on the internet, doesn't mean its true.

Additionally, I'm sure a bit of searching of this site or just the internet in general would have gotten you the answers you were looking for and they would have been a bit more credible than "some guy on the internet told me I needed this many quarts..."

Thank you. I shall rep when I can. Sad thing is this guy is about to (IMO) waste money on AMSoil when he could have taken what I said about M1 EP and done some research and quite possibly educated himslef on an oil that is just as good for extended drain intervals.

Oh well, to each their own.

So wait a minute... you DIDN'T call somewhere but instead posted on an internet forum (open, public forum). Then bitched about it when people gave their opinions on other oils and told them to shut up and just tell you the answer, then when they tell you to call the dealership, you say if you had, you wouldn't have gotten OPINIONS on AMSoil and proceed to ask about RP...

I don't get it man...
