Oil light

i just changed my engine oil cause the life was at 15% and the little maintenance light is on. Now that the oil change and filter is done the light go away. The manual says the dealership can reset it for you. Does anyone know how to reset it yourself?

IDK I don't own a ODB2 car w/ all these lights and bullshits. But try pressing the brake pedal 3 times then holding the lil button to reset your trip distance.... OR something like that

well you can reset it yourself. You turn your car off, then click the key 2 times to where the car is not on but all the lights and stuff are on, then hit the select button until you get to the screen that shows your oil life %, then hold the select button in for i think its like 10-15 seconds, it will start flashing, then hold it in again and it will change back to 100% and your good. It's that easy. It should turn the maintnance light off too.

Ya read the manual, it's in there. Usually when I have a problem I check my manual first, that's what its there for!

i would bet money that this dude has this memorized from answering this questions MULTIPLE times on this forum.

to the OP, yes you can reset it yourself, but please do a search next time and/or read the manual. you paid good $$ for that book, so take advantage of it.
