Did someone hit my car? Need a pic PLEASE!!!!!

So the line where my drivers side door meets the body panel doesn't look quite right. When compairing it to the passenger side, it looks kind of..."off"

I'm starting to think my car's been smacked into. Its an 06' fg2

Soooo could someone PLEASE post up a pic (if you have or could take one) of their drivers side door where it meets the frame? (I've found standing at the gas cap and looking at the seam is the best angle).

THANKS!!!

Cant you compare it to the other side of the car?

Edit:

I re-read your post, if it looks different, then something must have happened.

it does "look different" but I'm not sure if its just the inverse image of the drivers side playing tricks on my eyes.

I'm charging up my camera now, I'll post a pic of my poor poor salt covered car this afternoon.

lets say ur looking at your car from the side (ie you see the entire driver side of the car). when looking from this point of view, are you talking about the area of the door towards the bottom right? the lining right before the "i_VTEC DOHC" decal? if so, then yes mine is "off" a bit too. it looks like someone pryed/bent it outward a bit, compared to the passenger side?

yes, i suppose.

People ended up showing up yesterday and I never got a chance to get out there and take a pic. I'll snap one after I shower today.

I had an 06' and and 07' and both cars had doors that did not line up properly. One door will properly line up but the other is off. I've looked at countless Civics and they all have this problem. It's very evident when looking through the side mirrors on the coupe. You can see how the door is raised up in contrast to the rest of the body lines.

to the OP, i wouldn't worry about it. if someone hit your car, you will be able to tell. if you look at other parts of the civic (ie hood, door, truck, etc. etc.), they will likely be mis-aligned, even on the Si. on my Si, the truck door is a bit off in terms of alignment and my car was the showroom car.

Driver's Side

Passenger's Side

Hard to see in film but it really just "doesn't look right" to me all of a sudden.

Here's another of the passenger's side, which seems "fine"

And the drivers, which seems "off"

and yes, i realize the paint looks terrible. I'm waiting till spring hits to fix those scratches and give it a full-on detail.

Close the door on the seatbelt by any chance?

Looks like a minor latch adjustment frankly.

Have you ever, in the past, closed the door on the seatbelt?

Pointer on adjusting? If you've done it before, go ahead. But if you'd done it before, you wouldn't be asking. If you haven't done it before, proceed with caution.

Suggest you bring it to your favorite someplace for adjustment.

I think i might have closed it on the seatbelt before.

I'll take it by my dealership and have them take a quick look at it.
