Canadian made EX Sedan F. Passenger Door Alignment

I have a Canadian made 06 EX Sedan. The top part of the window frame does not properly align with the top of the window frame of the rear door at the "B" pillar. I had my dealer check it out but they said there was nothing that they could do about it and they were all made like that. I looked at the cars on the lot and only the Canadian made ones are like this. Civics made in Japan and Ohio doors are aligned perfectly. I recently contacted Honda's customer service line about an AC problem I was having and the case worker advised that the dealer should be able to correct the problem and that if they can't they should call the Honda Tech line and have someone from Honda come out and look at it. Is anyone else noticing this door alignment issue with their Canadian made Civics?

I've been reading up and this does seem to be an ongoing issue with some civics that came from Canada. Honestly, go to the dealership and tell them what they told you at honda. If they give you crap then tell them it's not your problem it is theirs and honda's and you'll continue to make a big deal about it until they fix it properly.

Dealerships hate doing work for free and will often tell you that something is "fine" when it isn't. Or that they can't do anything.

My previous car had brake issues when i bought it. took it to the dealership 5 times and they said I just need to get used to the brakes. None the less i'm going downhill and my entire brake assembly came apart. I coasted to a start and used my e-brake. After threatening to call the BBB along with a lawyer it all got resolved.

Now I'm sure the missalignment is more a nuisance but none the less sometimes you have to get real mean before somethin gets done.

I have a canadian made civic SI, and my driver's side door is also misaligned with the door frame. This is my 4th Honda and I have to say this is the shittiest craftsman I've seen so far on a Honda. Even my trunk doesn't align correctly. Did they take bunch of ppl from the forest and put them on the assembly line? 2 days after I got my SI, had to take it in for a new passenger side door handle, and now I have the rattle coming from the C-pillar area. Worst of all, I hate taking it in to the dealer (seems they create more probs than they resolve). Just wished all hondas were made in Japan in again.

I had the same issue with my sedan. The problem was not the alignment of the door. The problem was simply that door was beeing lifted by the metal loop that it latches to when the door was shut. My dealer fixed it in a few minutes. Mine is aligned perfectly now.I looked around the lot and found that many of the sedans had this problem.
You should be able to check this bu closing your door very slowly and checking to see if its beeing lifted by the metal loop. Mine was fairly noticable, I could feel in contact the loop and get lifted.
I'm not sure if I've explained this very well, but if you need more info let me know.
If your dealer cant figure this out, I would suggest going to a different dealer.
