Wont rev past 7k

Well as some of u know i was in an accident not too long ago with my RR si. i got my car back a few months ago and every now and then it wont let me rev past 7 or 8 (one of the two) not 9 :P. anyways i took it to honda today because i was finally tired of it and i explained everything to the guy. He says ok that will be 95$ for the reflash. i kinda laugh and tell him that it wasnt like that before the wreck and if i had any problems you could talk to the guy that took care of my car at the collision center. Well he told me he was going to call my insurance and they are going to look at my computer and that if it shows that it wasnt like that before the wreck then everything would be fixed for free. I did tell him that i was having these problems a couple days after i got my car back after the accident and he said that i might need my computer reprogrammed. so he knows whats up. Its almost like they did this on purpose for some safety thing. Me and the guy at the collision center both agree that this is rediculous and there is no reason it should be doing this. Well just letting everyone know because i dont think anyone has ever heard of this is so please tell! Wish me luck guys! u know how honda is

Strange.. Will Honda like to hear you're revving your engine that high?
Sometimes I'm afraid to rev my engine above 6.5-7K

Well the guy that handled my accident at the collision center even said that whats the point of buying a car like this if it wont rev right. i dont know about u guys but i shift at 8.3k when i get on it. It would also rev real slow other times too.

Tell them this if they ask about revving...The Si doesn't redline till 8k...so I can take it up there...If it wasnt designed to rev that high the limiter should be lowered....not to mention the broshure brags about its high revving motor

There's a reason they put the redline just over 8k...

I was in 3rd and got just to 7rpm and my car felt like it shifted itself...this happened on Monday afternoon so my car was already warmed up for the day. Is that what a rev limiter does? Can I get it adjusted?

I have a manuel 2007 EX (I know, I know:..( Im not happy with it.)

you probably hit fuel cut off (the rev limiter) as your redline is not as high as the k20z3.
