50,000 time for a new clutch

well im kind of surprised it lasted this long with the beating its been taking, just wondering if anybody has ne pointers or somthing i should look out for. ill be doing it tuesday after work and by the book it takes 6.7 hours so im guessing it should be real fun lol thanks for any help

What kind are you plan on going with?

any upgrades? stage 2 or 3?

or stock?

They only last them 50k miles if you treat them bad, i had an ford ranger that had 225000 miles never had to replace the clutch one time.

yea my friend had a 98 integra wit 150k stock clutch and all he does is beat his car and do burn outs

Droped my 92 preludes tranny replaced clutch and flywheel 48 minutes later driving down the road

I believe for the FG it wouldn't be as easy as the old school ludes or civics/integra.

It will take a lot more work. proabably something like droping the whole motor.

I think u have to drop the sub frame in order to put in new clutch. I'm getting my clutchmasters stage 2 and ACT prolite flywheel this saturday.

Thanks yodums for realizing I do track it very much, and its alot harder than a old civic lol, I think the stock clutch held up pretty good so im just use another stock setup, that clutch has taken a major beating. I think I'll take some pics and do a DIY on it

I'd never want a stage 2 clutch with the damn rev hang, lol!

I guess 50k isn't bad if you're constantly beating on it, or when you do beat on it you drive it real hard. I'd be pissed at myself if I killed a clutch at 50k though.

that was a pain in the ass, i think I might quit racing just so I dont have to do that again lol, I did take pics for a DIY so I'll post the new thread link in here for it, I won't be able to do it til tomorrow night though
