I thought the word is GInormous not binormous. I'm trying to figure out exactly what constitutes a binormous pothole. 2 potholes that merge together? Or is it a pothole that likes both cars and trucks? I'm confused. Help me here.

If you don't hear anything out of order, if your car isn't pulling insanely to the direction that the pothole was on and you don't feel any wobbling, I think you can go to bed safe and sound with the knowledge that for now, everything is peachy.

I used binormous...because it probably likes cars AND trucks...and my alignment does seem alright...I don't mind getting an alignment...Im just worried about causing damage to the suspension and other components Im not aware of

I've hit my fair share of huge potditches. That's what I call them. Anyway, be happy only your alignment is farked. That's quasi normal. Make sure your rim isn't bent.

Just went out and checked every rim and shook the car up a little...Everything seems to be sound...Im going to go for a nice quiet drive tomo and see then...and I think I'll use potditches as well...because you might as well go into a ditch when you hit a pothole lol...thanks atruhondagrl!

No problem, honda man. Glad I could help a bit. Btw, you should see the crater I hit the other day. It took a good day for me to relax and not fret about what happened under the car when I launched out of it. lol. Roads in south Texas are crappy.

Crawl underneath and see if you have any scrapes -if so clean it, paint it and/or spray waterproofing to prevent rusting out. Check the air levels in you tires if you can't get a good view of the perimeters of you tires -if you're consistently losing air in any one of them you might've dented a rim (if it's minor I've seen tire guys fix it with a hammer).

If your car were old I'd sugest now would be the time to tighten every bolt you can find in an effort to undo the loosening from the "potditches".

:)

Hitting a lot of bumps and potholes add up and your car will eventually need an alignment. I needed one at 9.2k and I don't slam curbs.

The thing with metal stuff in cars is that even though you don't notice anything wrong now, you definitely sped up the process. So I'm guessing the next big pothole will do it and you will be one of the happy drivers that get to sue the city.

As long as you are pulling and the handling is normal you are ok.

I hit a small pothole in my Corolla and bent my lower control arm

I hit a huge one in East LA. The city should really fix it.

Thanks to all the replies...and yes I agree with everyone that the city should fix some of these ridiculous potditches!...I understand a small bump here and there but something huge is out of the question
