Hesitant DBW throttle - is there a fix for the R18?

I have a 2008 Canadian DX-A model, manual transmission. It suffers from the same rev hang and first-gear buckung problem described by so many people in the Si forums. The rev hand is not as pronounced as it appears to be on the Si models, and I can learn to live with it even though it is still annoying. However, the stalling and hesitation in first gear is bugging me out of my mind. I cannot believe Honda allowed their best-selling car to be released with such a design flaw. They are not admitting it, though.
I understand they released a reflash for the Si, and a service bulletin, but it is kept hush-hush and only available for customers who come asking for it.
Is there a similar software update for the R18? I searched online, nothing so far. I talked to my dealer's service foreman, he will deny the problem till the end. I want to find that service bulletin and go slap him in the face with it!
Has anybody heard anything?

no i havnt heard anything.. but that is the most anoying part of the car is the jerking and hesitation..

anyone know?
