Hmmm, I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I have never researched it because it is not the first car I heard it on. I also heard it on non Honda as well.

Sorry I could not be of more help, it probably has been answered before on here somewhere though.

I have this problem too. I know what's causing it. It's in the area where your cruise control is at. If you press the back and the front of the side of the cruse control, it will stop it. I took it in to the dealership but they didn't fix it since it came back.

Hmmm, maybe I am hearing a different noise. Mine sounds like workings of the steering rack/ column mechanism. Very fait, yet noticable just like OP described while turning the wheel either moving or still.

My 06 EX and my 06 Si both made a slight creaking noise when the wheel was turned at slow speeds. Both car's (the EX last year and the Si this week) both had the "cable reel assembly" replaced under warranty.

The plasic around the steering wheel cruise control buttons is loose and it creaks and groans (much like more and more of the plastic in this car is doing).

The dealership replicated it, claimed they fixed it...nothing was changed.

Lol some dealers love doing this. The dealer wasted about 3-4 hours of my time fixing my Civic awhile back, and it turned out it was a small problem but they fixed it,but still..it pisses me off too because they give some people loaners but i never not once got a loaner from Front Range Honda EVER!

i was thinking that because its never like that when its warm outside...it just all recently happened...and it's been abnormally cold...so i'm hoping its that..my suspension creaks when its cold but goes away when the car starts to warm up...so like u said...i hope its the weather.

WTF!?!?! whats it? 45 mins of waiting for that, no putting car on the lift, no wheel removal, not even a drive to the bay...he did it in the effin dealership parking lot and basically said your not important enough...

Welcome to my life, FG2NME. Two hours of waiting at the dealership just to be told they can't replicate a problem or didn't hear the rattle/squeak/dying cow that I hear daily.

For me, this was the problem of the plastic piece at the bottom of the steering rack, I just ripped it off
