Rear Defroster

So my rear defroster used to work excellent!! Used to that is! My girl takes my car for a while on wednesday while I was working and at the end of the day she picks me up and first thing i notice is my rear defroster is on. She said she must have hit it while messing with the temp control...well I do know she hit it cuase there is no way I would have left it on. To get to the point, now the past two days when i turn it on first thing in the morning it doesnt work like it used to. It works but takes literally 5 times longer than it did to clear my window up. Does running it on a dry window for a period of time burn it out? Thanks for any help.

It shouldn't, the rear defogger is on a timer so It doesn't stay on longer than it should, I ususally turn mine on only once and let it turn off on it's own, if you're concerned take it in to the dealer

mine when on dirupts the radio so i dont turn it on anymore... i used to work well, but hasnt been turned on for atlease a year now...if i turn it on all i here from the radio is static.
