FOB Trunk Release stopped working Honda refusing to fix.

My Key FOB Trunk Release button stopped working about 6 monthes ago, the first time I took it to the shop I walked outside with the service manager and he hit the button and it popped right open The release works for another 2 monthes (meantime I moved to NJ) A few weeks ago the same thing happens so today I had a scheduled apt w/ honda in my area to check it out. I just got a call from the service manager that they will not fix it because my kick panels are missing (if you check out the audio forum I'm building custom kick panels) and they say they can't locate my immoblizer WHAT?!! My response if you can't located my immoblizer then why am I able to start my car. I don't have an after market alarm system nothing was touched there. The only thing I have is a D3, V1 hardwired, and power wire run to the front and back. Anyone know if I have any pull on this, I understand they think I broke it when doing the audio system, but I feel they never even looked at it and just going by sight.

This is the reason I would never, ever, ever mod a Honda that is still under warranty.

Ever.

Sorry to hear about that man. Try another dealership maybe?

LOL - Story gets even better. So the Manager calls me up again and apologized for the service reps explanation. She stated it wasn't because they weren't going to fix it, it was because they CAN'T. None of the Technicians are capable of troubleshooting electrical systems at that level. Her opinion (take it to another dealership) LOL - My lesson learned don't go to Garden State Honda.

Oh and of course no issues with my third gear problem as well.

Why don't you try another dealer in the area? Put your kick panels back on for now just to make sure.
