Side Airbag

Been reading articles about faulty side airbags? Has anyone actually taken their car to the dealership to get this fixed before it becomes a problem?

My side airbag light keeps coming on/off- from the stories ive read I'm wondering if the thing is gonna explode in mah face.

If you did take it to the dealers...did they fix it free from warranty?

that happens to me when my passenger is sitting on the edge on the seat. dont worry about it. i guess its wieght sensitive.

Side airbags or Passanger air bag? Alot of people mix them up. My passanger airbag light comes on intermittently. The light under the radio.

i think he means the light on the guages

Yeah I've read a couple articles of people actually getting injured from the thing engaging.
But yeah its the light the actual gauges. Its yellow to the left of the tach and says "Side Airbag Off".

Just making sure cause this car is great but alot of articles are leading the si towards a lemon. Anyone see the youtube video of the third gear issue?? Finally some recognition of some sort

Another light flicks on/off next to it too. Red light with symbol of person in seatbelt and an airbag.

should i take it in? or does the side airbag light thing go on and off on its own? I cant find ne info
