my 3rd gear problem fixed

ok guys i bought my si in 05/07 brand new off the lot with 1 mile on it , i got the car home & put a injen intake on it & took the ecm out & had the hondat reflash done aswell . so i get all that crap on there start driven the car & loved it for about a 1000 miles & the gears start to get a lil sloppy in colder weather but i think nothin of it so at about 2700 i go in for my first oil change & i tell the service advisor that the gears had been stickin so he looks & said well theres a service post on a new MTF. So they put that in & a fresh oil change & i love it the gears feel great again cars runnin good. So i keep drivin & on a cold morning when im going to work i go to 3rd gear & it pops out so im like wtf i put it back in 3rd & its fine so im like whatever shit happens . so as i keep drivein the car everymorning the gears start to feel real bad real sloppy & some times the gears feel real good. so another oil change later i tell the dealer & they drive it & they could not duplicate the problem ( but i know im not crazy ) . The car pretty much never stopped from there it just got worst poppin out of gear or real hard to get in gear . I take it back in to the dealer again . so over the course for a few mounth i take the car in 7 time for the trans issue & of course could not duplicat problem not including my a/c comprssor ketp kicking on & off so they had to recharge my ac, & replace my door panels cause the fabric was peeling off & my spearkers where rattling in the back. SO finnaly im so f@#$in pissed & im cool with my advsor at honda so he said call this number 1800-999-1009 , i call this number put a complaint in every time my car meesed up period, i would pull over on the side of the road & call if my trans even felt funny . I get a call a couple of day later & they give me a case manger from honda because by this time my dealer hates me & a case manger basaclly comunicats to honda for me cause im tired of takin my car in & being out of a car . So the other day my case manager says ok take your car in one more time & we will give you somethin to drive im like ok one last time . I take my car up there let it sit all night the next day 3 tech drive my car & the service manager , honda calles & says we could not duplicat the problem ( my blood starts to boil ) im so pissed there was no way it didn't pop out of gear or just plain feel like sh%t so i get in my car go to drive away & the car would not go in second i mean would not go in so i slam it back into gear stop in hondas lot & call my case manager & he said well there nothin we can do im usein the tools i have & im like what tools & he replies the dealer& the tech & if they can't get it to mess up then theres nothin wrong. so im like let me speak to you boss he said i dont have one so im like your it im talkin to the top dog mr honda him self right now , so then i start diggin & i get this number 1800 569-9969 ( i think this is the number ) & i talk to honda finace side of things & they say well since you have had so many problems this is what we will do , we will do what honda calls a subsutution ( that is when they give you the same car as what you have or a used car for the same as what you finaced ) so i was so happy to hear that so i gave my car back & i am now the proud owner of a 2005 s2000 & damm im happy

but now im stuck with aftermarket parts for my civic si that wont fit on my s2k but oh well im happy & the car shifts snmooth every time

i thought u got ur transmission fixed. its nice that u got an s2000. what mileage does it have? and what did u do with your aftermarket parts?

sorry for the long post again im at work & had to type me a## off they did not fix the trans but gave me a s2000 ( that fixed it for )

i have a full cat back theremal exhaust
injen intake
06 tsx cams
hfp front lip
all layin in my 3rd bed room waiting to be used

my advise if your trans is messed up b^&tch about to every honda person that will listen call every honda corp number every day if need be. They will eathier fix your car or do a substution for another or just give you another si but i did not want another cause what are the chances of this happening again

sorry my miles on my car when i gave it back was 8888, & i did have to leave my dcrh on the car cause i had to take all my part off of it at like 2:00 in the morning

My brother has 07 S2000 with Spoon Headers.. waiting for reflash.. it doesnt really get rev hang.. it just sucks if you bang gears at red line.. the clutch like slips a little.. and he has 5000 miles on it mostly commuting over a bridge..

yeah i guess your right they didn't fix my trans , but it was my choice to have eaither another si with 0 miles or any car in the same price range , but im not taking the chance of gettin another problem , but like i said this is just to help , i personaly love the si's but ill wait till the trans is no longer a problem befor i own another one

you will need to contact the finace corpret side of honda i think the number is 704-442-3000, they will do what they call a (substitution), they will give you a vehicle at what you finaced or i guess what you paided for they vehicle , hope this helps

I just called this number and the lady said they had no records of a trans issue,she said this was the 1st she'd heard of it...WTF
