avantguard 5 clifford and 06 SI

I just got that alarm this weekend. I think the ppl did a bad install. I wanted to know how much of a pain is it to remove this; I am thinking of getting rid of this and down grading to a lower alarm system. i know most ppl probably im a fool for wanting to do this but this alarm has been a headache for me. it has the prox sensitivity, and it has been driving me nuts. The remote start on it has been giving me problems.

Is there a lot of splicing to install this alarm on an 06 SI.

Thanks for the help

Hit G5, G5, trunk and you can turn off prox. sensor. If it's too sensitive take it to any installer and have them set it to your sensitivity of choice. It takes a bit of messing around to have it the way you want but it's worth it. Have a little more patince. The alarm is ridiculously amazing.

I am just disappointed with the install. the serien seems to be installed in a bad spot(on my intake box). everything just seems to have been done half ass.
and my avantguard doesnt have that transmitter.....it has five buttons, 1-one star button,2-two star button,3-unlock/lock button, 4-trunk release,5-clifford button.
where are the prox'es sensors usually placed. is it in the roof, my roof seemed a little loose.
