reset the ecu by unconnecting the negative wire (black wire) on the battery...do this for a few minutes and the problem should go away

I'm guessing that the sensor might either be put on wrong or it came loose, try adjusting it a bit see if it helps?

that could work, could of come loose or something, disconnect your battery's negative also for like 20 sec and put it back on and it should be off (CEL).

My guess is that there is an air leak. Make sure all of your connections are tight.

How often does it go on and off? How much time between those intervals?
If it is going on and off fairly rapidly (more often than twice in an hour) that is pretty odd.

As the guy above suggested, check all your hoses, make sure they are tight, and check your wiring to make sure it is all secure. Also check the seating of your maf sensor. Be sure it is sitting flat and the o-ring on it isn't pinched or anything.

Did you mess with anything else than installing the intake that day?

1. It stays on... it never turns off

2. the hose that connected to the engine...is not ziped tie... but i check its out pretty tight

3. I got a local shop to install.

I would make sure you get some clips for all the hose on both ends.

The shape and size of the oem clips are designed so they pinch the tubes and hoses right behind the lip or flange of where they connect.

Zip ties I don't know that I would suggest. They are more narrow than clips and they don't really provide pressure in the same way a spring clip does. Plus zip ties aren't really reusable and I would imagine are more susceptible to failure.

Just my two cents.

Hope everything gets settled. If you find out what the problem was be sure to post it. Good luck!

Yeah, lots of auto part stores will scan your car for you. Autozone and Advance definitely will. Pep Boys probably would to (bleh...)

There is a pretty unlikely chance the scanner may not know what the code means. Some scanners know lots of codes and will display the name and meaning, but crappy scanners won't display the meaning or might now know the meaning for manufacturer specific codes. In that case it will still display the actual code which you can write down and look up later online.

Wow..... Im just keeping up w/ this thread to see if anyone here will finally guess it..

This is sooo easy lol, blah.

heres the the HINT.

what happends to a obd2 car when you disconnect the MAS - Mass Airflow Sensor lol....

If that doesnt give it away then .

ok nvm ill stop being a dick, Clearly the "shop" that did it for you are some un-legit bastard that didn't clear the code.

When you disconenct the Mass Airflow Sensor or (MAS) You will throw a check engine light. Also you will throw a check engine light if there is a air leak ANYWHERE in the breather or so..

But most likely since the "shop" hopefully knows how to install a intake, then its just the MAS code that needs to be cleared.

If your broke come over here to cali to my school ill clear the code for ya, Good luck. Let me know what happnds
