'06 Si - Jack Stands?

I know the Si has four jack points, near each wheel, as listed in the manual. However, I want to put my car on jack stands so I can do an oil change. I need to put the stands on the two front jack points... so where do I position the jack? Is there something in the front of the car, under the bumper?

I don't have a Helms. I don't own a lift. The Si doesn't have the clearance for my ramps, so I sold them. Please help!

Um...doesn't your manual go into detail on how to use the jack in your trunk for a flat tire? That's probably where you'd want the jackstands as well.

you can put the jack on the pinch weld and then put the jack stands on the inner frame rail. Well it not really a frame rail since our cars are unibody, but it looks like a frame rail and it is more than strong enough to support the car.

I think the ramps were Rhino brand, if I recall. I definitely tried to use them; the car just pushed them forward with a horrifying squeegee sound (the ramp supports are rubber plugs).

It's a lot easier to just put an 18" 2x6 in front of the ramp. It eases the transition and the car will go up just fine.

I have no problems putting the si on ramps... Its actually the best method for anything but suspension or wheel changes...

Sure. They're laying flat on the ground in front of the ramps. All they do is raise the front of the car up by 1.5 inches so it hits the ramp at a better angle.

All great ideas... wish I had thought of those first. My ramps were already sold!

In anycase, I found that jack point under the nose of the car you guys were talking about. Thanks!

There are two tow hooks on the front that you can jack the car up by and then just place the jack stands behind the front wheels on the rail.

can anyone post a picture of the point where you can put the jack? not the one behind the tires.

Jack Stand Type/Brand

As a new member, I wanted to say hello to all the 8th generation owners out there. I really enjoy this site, and have found it very useful.

I have seen much discussion on jack stands, but have seen little discussion on type/brand. What brand do you use?

I am also curious as to where you place a floor jack to lift the rear end? All my searches have revealed only the front end.

Thanks in advance for any help!
