Angry Wheel Alignment after strut removal

I started to have a slight rattle in the area of my drivers side strut. Honda took out the strut to look at it then re-aligned the car. Both the car and steering wheel seem 99% straight on average roads, but the steering wheel seems to jump left or right slightly very rapidly from dead center for no reason. I know the steering wheel should move left to right slowly, but not a rapid jump. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I was gonna say yes you need an alignment after strut removal, but I guess they did that. I'd take it back to the dealer if it doesn't feel right.

So, the same strut was put back in? Not an aftermarket one?

Yep, the same strut was put back in and the original noise is still there. I just can't work out what these technicians do at Honda. They are supposed to be pros.
