lol at about 99% of the answers of this thread...
Vtec = extra lobe on camshaft... either for power or for fuel economy. I-vtec = VTC + VTEC in K series I-vtec = vtc and ecu controlled TB in R series BIG misconception in the R18 motor is that there's a power lobe... Well the R18 doesn't it simply (lol) phases the camshaft to allow the TB to remain WOT at pretty much all time. It remains open during the compression stroke to compensate for the extra air in the chamber. |
