Blinking Red light by my left leg

This may be a stupid question. But does anybody know what the blinking red light by my left leg is telling me? I looked through the manual and for the life of me I cannot figure it out. My first assumption is that it has to do with my security system (factory option). But I can't figure it out. Any help would be nice.

I will try and post up a video of it sometime this week. My camera was not working well tonight.

give a scenario.... where at around your left leg, near the tack or below the steering wheel and when does it blink, after you lock the doors when you get out or does it blink when your driving?? the only thing i can think of is the factory security system showing it is armed... oh, is it just a dot or is it a symbol of some sort?? a little more info would be great...

it wouldn't be from the tach since thats up by the steering wheel and it wouldn't be from the security system since that blinking red light it up by the temp and fuel gauge. i've never noticed any lights down by my legs, you'll need to be more specific on when it happens.

my guess would be aftermarket alarm. did you get your car new?maybe with a alarm package? or did you get it used?

it's telling you that you set off the self destruct button and that you'll have 10 seconds to hit vtec or the car will go boom.

All Si's come with a factory alarm standard. It blinks on the upper cluster.

If you got an "optional" alarm, you purchased a dealer installed option. Ask your dealer.

I would assume it's from the alarm. It's actually running all the time, 24/7. It doesn't matter if i am in the car, driving, nothing. The thing is, it never did this before It's below the steering column and to the left. On the bottom of the dash console at the leading edge. I will probably just ask the dealership. I had the optional alarm put in when I bought it 1 year ago January.

stick your head under there and take a look. if its a LED light just hanging the its from a aftermarket alarm, and instead of them installing the led in your dash the just zip tied it under the dash.

I bought my Si used and I have a blinking red light on the left side down almost under the dash when I turn the car off. I was told by the dealer the previous owner had installed an after market motion sensor/immobilizer.
