HELP W/ V1 radar detector

I have a 07 si sedan. I just finished wiring my radar detector. I choose the purple wire. Grounded it perfectly.. Well, I turned on the radar detector w/ close/locked doors and it turns on perfectly. Then after it give me the P O P, it's suppose to give me the A. It goes blank then. But just to make sure it is actually working, I drove by my bank and it works perfectly fine. The only problem is that I have no lights or anything showing. It doesn't show X, K, or KA bands, no lights at all or anything, it just beeps perfectly fine.

I don't know what the problem is..

Does it have a dark mode like my Passport? It goes dark and only gives audio alarms.

no, no dark mode.. It's just straight up not lighting up. I just plugged my cig lighter one back in, and now the mute button wont work..

Called valentine and they said it was the wire connecting to the detector. Am expecting another one any day now..
