Who got refused warranty work?

Please post here if a dealership has refused warranty work on your vehicle, and the reason why they refused it and the problem with your car..

A friend of mine got denied warranty work for his engine after it starting ticking using the wrong grade oil. He used 5W30 in his engine when it called for 5W20. Dealership (im not saying which Vehicle Brand/model) sent out for an oil analysis and came out he used the wrong viscosity (manual stated 5W20). He changed this oil himself thinking 5W30 was better...Bye bye warranty..... Moral of this story: Use what is ONLY what is recommended in the manual

haven't really gotten denied warranty cause everything that breaks is either out of warranty or not normal wear and tear.

I took my car in at 2k miles for an oil change and advised the service rep that there was the popping sound and 3rd gear was hard to engage. they said it was normal.Came back at 4k miles, car was towed in because it would not get any gears, after that they said I abused the car and it was not covered. In the end, they said they would do it as a "one time "goodwill"repair.I told them about third gear and assured me if I felt anything wrong with the car to come back and I did. About 7 times. Each time they couldnt duplicate it.BS..Now its at 10k miles and same thing. Wont repair. So basically it is my word against honda when I tell them about the third gear problem.
