Sounds like normal behavior for our ABS. It will kick in even under light braking if the road is at all uneven. The pedal will firm up and you will feel a tapping through it along with grinding sound. It's probably a function of the adaptive brake boosting, ABS, and electronic brake distribution.

sometimes dealers do mess up, my friend bought a 350z once brand new.. he drove it out of the dealership and few kms later he heard a grinding sound in the engine.. apparently nissan forgot to put oil in his engine?!?!, haha soo dum, at first they offered his to just put oil and inspect it to make sure its okay... but eventually my friend complain that they may be future problems b/c of this,, so they actually gave him a new 350Z |

VSA= ABS + Traction control = no no.

the si's i know have that other system too, i dont know if it is associated with traction control or vsa, although both of those are pretty much the same. but the system i am talking about is say the roads are slick for whatever reason (snow, rain, ice, etc.) and your rear end starts to spin out on you the brakes on the rear will come on sortof like like abs and help straighten the car back out. that maybe the problem with whoever was autox'ing. now that i think about it, i think it is the vsa, but thought i would info you all.
