fender bender

my boy has an 06 civic ex sedan and he was in a fender bender. he ordered a new fender and want tto put it on himself but he nor i know how to remove it. especially with that little window above it. can anyone help? piece.

I thought that new fenders didn't come painted...so he'd have to get them painted at a collision repair shop

yeah he got it painted already but he wanted to put it on himself but doesnt know how and neither do i. is there a body tear down guide anywhere?

If this guy has to ask, then its not a great idea to trust him to do the repair! Not only that but what color is your car? I highly doubt that a shop was able to match the paint perfectly. Usually a body shop would at least blend the paint to the door, if not to the hood as well. Are you friends with this person? You need to go to a body shop, unless you want to devalue your car! As for the window, the fender should slip out from underneath it when you remove all of the fender bolts......

lol it is not my car its his. he just ordered the fender, painted it, and he was going to put it on himself but didnt because he was worried about that little window. he just asked me cause i have a civic too but mine is a coupe. his car is one of the reddish shades not sure though cause its not mine lol. and i work with this guy and im just trying to help him out. civic love lol.

I dont understand why you just dont go take it to a collision repair...if you got in a fender bender then the other peoples insurance that hit you should pay for the repair...so why didnt you just take it to a shop to begin with

it was a hit and run... he got it painted and just wanted to put it on himself to save money.
