SI wheel question

When I picked up my SI I had a big gash in the back passenger wheel. So I got a "we owe you" to have them fix it, and powder coat it. At the time this seemed like a good idea since I wanted to have them all powder coated a different color. So now I'm thinking this is a brand new car. If I want to powder coat the wheels thats me. But, on their part I think I'm owed a new wheel.... So my question should I just let them powder coat the wheel. Will it really look the same? I'm scared it wont. Or should I try to get a new wheel?

You just paid $20K for a new car...everything on it should be NEW, no dings, scratches for gashes in the wheels. I would demand a NEW wheel.

That's what I'm thinking also. When I bought the car the guy said he wasn't going to do anything about it. And I finally got them to agree to powder coat it. So my next question is. The guy I have to deal with the manager of everything is sooooo push and acts worse than any car salesman I've even dealt with. So is there anyone that's above the dealer that I could talk to if they don't give me a new wheel?

Call American Honda customer service and file a complaint. Tell them exactly what happened, what the dealer agreed to, and what you want done, and if you are getting any grief over getting your wheel fixed or replaced.

problem is I agreed to the powder coating only because they said that's all they'd do so I think that got me screwed... I'm going to look more into it tomorrow.

u call american honda, and they'll make them replace it. it's their fault they sold u a car w/ a gash in it. they can't sell shit liek that. thats bad for honda as a company. call their customer service line, and put an end to this, u can't settle for anythign less than a new wheel.

I would have them give me the money for it to be powdercoated.. so when you change the color you only pay for 3 :)

I just got off of the phone with the dealer. They were rude telling me they weren't going to do anything about it because I signed a we owe you agreeing to the powder coating. And didn't want to understand I had no other options. Then when I said I asked for a number to someone higher than them the guy was like why do you want to do this lol I'm like are you kidding me I've bought 2 cars in a month from you and had a friend buy a car from you I deserve a little more than you giving me a refinished wheel. AHHHHHHHH I just want to scream I hate dealing wtih this.... So looks like I'll be calling American Honda.

OK so I didn't have to call American Honda(yet). The head manager called back saying he'd do whatever to make me happy(guess they like to keep their name good and don't want complaints) So at first the solution was they were going to switch out a wheel from the next SI that came in. But, I don't wan't to screw someone else. They insist they will fix it before putting it back. But, I don't think that's cool so I called back telling them I want one ordered. So well see how long this takes..... On the downside the SI's they are ordering are 07 models I don't want them to come out yet!!!!
