Speed Governor on our Sis??

So I was out on an abandoned Airport strip the other day topping out my 2007 FG2 trying to see what speed I could get it up to. I made it 144 in 6th gear.... Very impressed, but then right before VTEC cameon my car shut down fuel pressure and dropped speed. I wasn't aware of a speed governor in our Sis. Not to mention that I was at 143 before VTEC, I wonder how fast these things could really go if the governor was removed. Anyone know about this or a fix for it?

Sorry, but unless the airfield is now a sanctioned drag strip, and by sanctioned i mean a legitimate setup with lights and time slips generated for you after your run, posting of stuff like this isn't permitted.
