There should be an Anti-Theft Radio Identification card that came with your car. There will be a 5 number code that you use the radio buttons to enter.

If you don't ahve your card already in your wallet, check the books that are probably in your glove compartment. When you find the card, put it in your wallet. It makes these moments so much easier.

if you don't have the card with you, take your car to your original dealer where you purchased your car. when i lost mine, i took my car to my dealer and they gave it to me right away because they already had it in their computer system.

and a fyi, it wasn't because of your fogs. You un-hooked the battery. That's what did it. Anytime you unhook the battery it'll reset and ask you for your code.

Yup. What they said. You should have the code on the inside of the car manual folder and also on a small business card. Also, if you tell them your VIN, they should be able to pull up the code for you in their system. I had this happen with my used Mercedes w/o the card, so I just called up the dealership and it was A OK!

that's assuming the tech doing the PDI followed the directions and put the stickers where the card tells you to.

on my wife's CR-V, they did not. I believe the dealership kept one with their paper work, I got the little card, and I discovered the third sticker affixed to the bottom edge of my tailgate one day while washing the car.

It was a definite WTF? moment
