If so, I'd have to argue that. There has to be a reason they'd be "checking" that.
My guess would be that they are checking clutch wear so they can claim abuse on as many cases as possible to limit the overall cost of the TSB. But who knows for sure.

I do have a hard time equating the grind issue with a clutch issue. Unless the clutch was hanging up and causing the grind issue. But not the grind issue causing a clutch problem. Hmm.

By the way, is it Saturday or Friday? I am interested to hear what happens and how it goes.

Saturday, I put the wrong date! D'oh! I'll fix it. Should be the 2nd.

The dealer was saying it was a clutch problem which is stupid as hell I know, but I put too much trust in them. The actual symptom is the 3rd gear thing, they said the cause was with the clutch...

I will be sure to mention the vast amounts of people with the same problem, and probably this website by name so they can see for themselves!

I agree with the 3rd gear problems. It is a problem, Honda of America needs to implement a fix. If they refuse to fix your car, trade it in. SIs have good trade in value and you should be able to get something you might be happy with it.

Face it, no car is perfect. The 3rd gear is unacceptable. The paint, I can live with. Most of my chips are from rocks on the highway. I don't think Honda threw them at my car.

Im going to use this excuse when/if my clutch goes bad.... "Its the 3rd gear pop-out/notchy/grind thing that everyone talks about on the internet forums"

Too funny..

aren't they working with people now to fix the problem? No matter what mileage your car is at.

Actually, I heard that Fox 6 would like to talk to all the SI owners that have been experiencing the same problems with third gear. So if you have ,postyour info. Of course, we hope you have all your service records.

Seeing how I don't have much of a life besides studying, if I live in CA I would love to help out.

But sadly I'm all the way on the East side. But you have my support from all the way here.

How about a bumper sticker that says, "Please be patient, I'm trying to get into third gear"
