Vehicle Speed Sensor - WHERE!?

Im trying to install my Avic-D3 and i need to tap into the VSS. I found a post that said it was a blue/white wire located in a brown 20 pin connector located under the passenger side dash.

Ive been looking and i cannot for the life of me find this wire.

Im also going to need to know where the reverse wire is.... unless i manage to find it while i go and wait for a response on here.

HELP!!!!

try the blue wire in the harness at the back of the radio. if there is more than one blue wire...i dont know about which one it is. (got this from the12volt.com) if there is more than one, you could try process of elimination to make sure your not tapping into a speaker, power ground, illumination,or any other wires.

it makes sense that there is a wire going to the back of the radio since the OEM radio has a VSS funstion to amplify teh music the faster you go.

Thats exactly what I was thinking... but by the time i got my dash off my mind was so shot i didnt think of that. I missed the step in the DIYs where you have to take out the 2 screws below the HU where that little bin is in front of the shifter. So I spent like 2hrs prying and pulling and also managed to gash up my dash a bit.

... It hasnt been fun. I just wish I was at home and not work... so i could sit and get this done.

I'll try the blue wires tonight... assuming no one posts here w/ an exact answer

so far...i think that is the exact answer. the12volt has a wiring list for any wires needed for a radio or alarm install. unless some one has a wiring/pinout diagram....
EDIT: the more i research it, it should be a darker blue wire.

I'm almost positive it is the blue/silver wire in one of the connectors in the back of the radio. The wire your thinking about in the drivers side kick panel is the for the parking brake.

Ill try the blue/silver wire. Hopefully theres only one. I found the parking brake one, but im going to dot he bypass anyways. Hopefully the bypass wont mess w/ the bluetooth add-on since the mute wire gets grounded.

I took a picture of it on the radio harness when I was removing my Z2. It's the center blue wire in the first pic, I should have highlighted it.
