Transaxle shot dead!!

ok my transaxle sprang a big leak!!! befor this happened i was getting symptoms like noisy throw out bearing, car felt like it was sliding on rocks or pebbles was under my tires, ok so i got my vehicle towed to ken dixon honda and since my vehicle has 58,950 miles on it they said that honda wants a inspection done on the trans!! so yesterday i went back ans seen my trans out and disasembled to my finding my differential was completely broken!! ok so today they called me and told me that honda wasnt going to warranty my trans!! stating that it must have been something i did to the vehicle to make an internal part like this break, after they did the inspection they determined this, i asked them how did they make this determination and he said after looking over my car and seeing that i have a cold air intake and a exhaust on my car they feel as though i have misused my vehicle! they went on to explain that this occurs when u either mis shift your car or high rev it! if this is true then shouldnt i have engine damage and not trans damage, but any who i called honda headquarters and made a formal complaint of unsatisfactory and they gave me a case number and should be contacting me within 24-48 hours so i will see what happen. but further more i asked the service manager to explain to me how did i void out my transaxle warranty where it states in the honda warranty book that it can be an internal malfunction and it is still covered under warranty not only do i have honda factory warranty but i also have an extended warranty through car care, honda is always trying to bullshit people out of their money and always trying to find a way out of paying for work that should and is still under warranty!! i also explained to them that this trans is a known problem for all si owners with the gears grinding and popping out but that clain to not have any knowledge of such!!

wow, another satisfied honda owner...

all these stories are BS in my opinion. Why sell a high revving motor and then penalize people when they rev it high? I've ranted about this before... read their brochure for the 2008 civic/civic si coupe.

ok i just got off the phone with honda of bowie service manager and he told me that i should have brought my car to them, that in no way shape or form should a cold air intake and exhaust be a factor in the determination of my transaxle breaking, he also asked me f i had any type of ecu work done or any computer chips on my vehicle and i told him no he said that honda will have to prove without a dout that the broke driveshaft is done by a miss shift or high rev, if not then honda needs to cover my car and not void any warranties

That comment makes me worry lately my si has felt like that. No strange noises but its starting to feel different from when i first bought it. Guess its time to get that checked out.

I didn't read this all because you didn't put in paragraphs. What I got from it though is that your car has over 57k miles, right? I'm not sure why they would warranty anything
