Navi Install ?s

I wasnt sure which section to post this in... but I chose the Mechanical Problems/Technical Chat are. If this is wrong, then I'll have it moved.

I received almost all of my items to install my Avic-D3 Navi system... I have to wait for the wire-harness to arrive so i can use the D3 with my factory amp and speakers for the 'premium' audio system.... in the meantime... I plan to do all the 'extra' wiring so that when i do receive the harness, i can just plug int he D3 and be on my merry way.

While reading the installation instructions I came up with some questions that I'd like some clarification on. Some of them Im sure ill figure out as soon as i look, but im at work reading the instructions and figured i'd try to get some clarification before i tackle this project.

1st - I need to tap into the 'Speed detection lead' which is part of the 'Vehicle Injection Computer'. In the illustration (which is a general one) this is located near the glove-box. Where is this item/lead located in our cars? And which wire would be the 'speed detection lead'?

2nd - Same concept... but for the 'parking brake switch'. I assume its located below the parking brake... but I havent had time to look at it yet.

3rd - For the 'reverse signal input' ... which wire for the reverse lights should I tap into? I assume theres more than one wire, but again... i havent had time to look.

I think thats all I got for now. Thanks for reading
