just thought you guys might like to know that the ecm records that info, if you ever experience an engine noise or check engine light the dealer can tell you have overreved the engine and void your warranty for misuse of your vehicle

Yeah, and after so many engine starts or time, the data is gone. They can only see what you've done for so long, not the entire life of the vehicle.
