Automatic Transmission makes "clank" noise
My car: 2007 LX Sedan, auto trans, 10k miles.
I approach a red light and brake, so car slows down. But before I come to a complete stop, the light changes to green. So I lift my foot off the brake pedal and press the gas pedal to accelerate. I occasionally get a loud CLANK noise when I step on the gas. It never happens before I step on the gas. It happened when I first got my car, but infrequently. Now it's getting more frequent. Any idea what it could be? I'm just wary of taking the car in to the dealership and look stupid when they can't repeat the problem. It doesn't feel like the problem is coming from the brakes, but more to do with the transmission. Can anyone provide pointers? I will appreciate it greatly, thanks! |
