Tire HELP!!
Today, on my way back from work, my front passenger tire popped, maybe due to a pothole that I didn't see since it is dark. I am wondering, is it okay to use two brand new tires in the front and have the old stock Michelin tires still running in the rear of the car? If so, which tires are nice, I want All-Seasons and my budget is below $100 per wheel. I'm sorry, right now I just can't afford all four tires and steelies do not feel safe AT ALL. So please help as much as you can. Thanks.

u may wanna post this in the tireand wheel threads... you'd get more help there... but i dont see why you couldnt run two different types of tires, as long as both the front r the same and the two rear are the same like you said. i have done that before. you would run into more problems running two different tires on the same axis. u know what i mean. but try moving to the tire and wheel threads

Yeah, that fine to do. BUT make sure they are the same size and type, you dont want performance on one axle and all-season on the other. Also, put the new tires on the BACK not the front so you help maintain handling. If you have any other questions check here Tire Tech - Where to Install New Pairs of Tires?.
